^^ Have fun and enjoy! Gone forever? The weeks passed slowly. Nothing changed. Kai’s condition got even worse and the doctors had already lost their hope. Aoi didn’t. He still prayed that Kai would wake up every second. But he didn’t. He didn’t come back to Aoi. He moved even farer away from Aoi. Every day Aoi sat next to Kai for two hours before he had to leave him again. Every day he held Kai’s hand and squeezed it slightly before he stroke over the hand. Every day he whispered silent words and begged. Begged for the awakening. But it didn’t happen. It was always the same. The body laid in the bed and it seemed as if he would be dead. The machines helped him to stay alive. The silent prayers got no response. And it looked like they would never get any response at all. Now Aoi was on his way to the hospital. It was early in the morning and Aoi couldn’t await to go to Kai. Even if he was not sure if Kai was still alive or not. Even if he had to see the pale body of his beloved one again. He had to be there! He had to do it for Kai. Aoi knew that. He knew that Kai would never wake up again, if he would not be next to him every time to show him that he wasn’t alone. That he was still loved. That Aoi still took care for him. And that he wanted him so badly to wake up. Aoi sighed deeply when he finally reached the hospital. He looked shortly around. The last night it rained a lot and it was still cloudy. How ironic… As if the sky would cry with me… He shook his head. That was stupid. Why should someone cry with him? It was his own fault that Kai laid here now. And he had to handle it on his own. Even if this would break him into pieces. He once promised Kai that he would always be there for him. And he would never break this promise! So he stepped inside the building and looked around. How many times had he been here now? How many times had he seen the same faces? The same motions. The same places. He wasn’t sure about it after all. He stopped counting. Like he stopped taking care of his tears. It didn’t matter any longer if he cried or not. No one could help him. No one would be able to stop the tears. The only one who could do it wasn’t able to do it any longer and maybe he would never be able to do it again. But Aoi hoped that he would do it. He hoped that Kai would be awake. That he would be there for him. That he would embrace him and hold him tight. That he would stroke over his back like he always did. That he would kiss him softly and whisper silent lovely words. That he would tell him that everything was okay. That he was still alive and that he would never leave Aoi behind. Aoi reached the corridor in which Kai’s room was. He could already see the room, but Aoi stopped walking immediately. Nurses left the room and walked back inside. Some of them stood before the room and talked with each other. Aoi couldn’t understand them. Even if he wanted to. He was too afraid. Afraid of what was going on. Did anything happen to Kai? Did he have to be operated once more? Did he wake up finally? Or did he die at last? Aoi swallowed. He hoped that Kai wasn’t dead. Nothing would have made him happier at that moment. But another nurse left the room and with her some machine which Aoi recognized as the one who gave Kai breath. No please not… He shook his head slightly. This was not true! This could not be true! He didn’t want it to be true! Some nurses saw him and wanted to talk with him, but Aoi didn’t listened. He had to know if Kai was still there or not. He pushed the nurse next to him aside and walked to the room. Then he stepped inside and stared in shock at the empty bed. The carpet laid crumbled on it and you could see some blood on it. One nurse stood beside the bed and wanted to take the carpet away. The window was opened and the soft wind played with the curtains of the window. Tears started to burn inside Aoi’s eyes and ran down his cheeks the next second. “No…” He sobbed. “Kai…” Now it happened. Now it was over. He was gone. He left Aoi behind alone. He would never be there for him again. Aoi shook his head in disbelieve. All the praying had been senseless. Kai was gone and would never come back again. Aoi lowered his head and stared at the ground. He didn’t know what to do next. He didn’t know how to go on in the future. He didn’t know how he should do that without Kai. The clouds outside disappeared slowly and the sun started shining through the window. Aoi was surrounded by the warm light the next moment, but he didn’t realize it. Nor did he realize that somebody stepped behind him and placed a hand on his shoulders. It was the doctor who took care of Kai the whole time. But Aoi couldn’t hear his words. He realized nothing around him any more. The only thing that was in his head was Kai. Maybe it would have been better if Aoi would have listened to the doctor. If he would have heard these words. So this was the end… And Aoi didn’t care anymore about what stupid doctors could tell him. They weren’t able to help Kai and he hated them for that. Aoi slowly looked up again. Stared with blank and tear-filled eyes at the bed. “Why do you leave me alone?” But he would get no answer. Because there was no answer. Hosted by Animexx e.V. (http://www.animexx.de)
