Sayuri is part of the Sailor Starlights, protectors of Kinmoku-sei. Her Starseed was taken when Galaxia attacked her planet. Brought back to life when Sailor Moon healed Sailor Galaxia.
After the battle, Sayuri resumes her post as one of princess Kakyuu's personal protector. The only person she believes and trusts in is Seiya because she feels like there is a ‘connection’ between the two of them. After some time she falls in love with the raven haired woman because Sayuri realizes the greatness of Seiya’s heart and she admires Seiya for Seiya’s kindness and everything that’s about Seiya. Soon she finds herself doing almost everything for Seiya to be happy (again). Sayuri feels like she’s not good enough for Seiya, though, and often feels like a replacement for that ‘Odango’.
