Spoilers (sort of) for Etrian Odyssey 4 ahead

-Hip Hip Hooray, raise up your glass, the devil won’t get hold of us-

They’ve been sitting together for a while now, in one of the rooms of the Inn, after figuring they had more privacy (and more room to misbehave) than at the Peacock.
There was nothing better to celebrate slaying the monster of your youth’s old wives tales than lots of ale, good food and more ale.
They had planned on telling the story of their deeds to Ehaar, who hadn’t joined them.
What they hadn’t planned on was Prince Baldur (much to Logre’s chagrin, if he were 100% honest) and Ciaran dragging along, curious about the tale too.

Several tankards, glasses and jugs had been emptied by now, and the story got as much of a mess as a story being told by five more or less intoxicated adventurers at the same time could be.

“I still have nightmares from the sheer tales of it,” young Prince Baldur finally protested, the alcohol he had consumed by now doing its part in his choice of tone, “You can’t tell me you felled it that easily!”

“It was far from easy, sire,” Logre reassured, raising his hands as if to defend himself from the accusation of insulting anyone he didn’t meant to insult.

“‘twas too,” said Vei, grinning and downing her mead.

“Yeah, once Vei and Charlie went and chopped the thing to pieces it was a picnic”, squeaked Aky, “Okay, picnic where I had to run around nursing new beestings by the second. And those were big beestings.”

At this Baldur couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Alright, once more,” said Ehaar then, “Just so I can imagine what you did…”

“What he said,” Ciaran added, “To be honest, your tale’s a mess.”

Logre looked at Charlie and Vei and grinned.

“Y’know,” he said and put his tankard down, “How’s ‘bout we show you?”

A snort in unison and two nods later Vei had grabbed a spoon and a ladle, and Logre had, after three attempts, piggy backed Charlie, to give (under the hooting and cheering of the others) what was without a doubt the most curious demonstration of how the fight with the creature known as the Warped Savior went down.

Guild Tabularis

Aky (Medic/Arcanist): 17 years of age, Tshabek’s little sister and a bundle of energy and delight rivalling Wynne. When Tshabek decided to follow the call from Tharsis, Aky dragged along, because 1. It’s going to be exciting. 2. Tshabek needs someone to patch him up, and 3. It’s going to be exciting.
She’s energic and can be a little stubborn, looking at the world around her with bright eyes. She’s quite bright if she puts her mind to it, but usually tends to be a bit lost, taking things literally too often for her own goods. She’s also sort of lacking a mental filter for what she’s saying.
She later on took up some of the Vessel’s arcanist ways, in order to help the others with weakening monsters and providing a way of mending minor wounds when Aky herself couldn’t do that the very moment.

Tshabek (Fortress/Medic): Tshabek’s basically the guild’s leader (as Ehaar rejects that position). He’s 24, second oldest of three children (Aky, and his older brother who stayed at home), and the balancing force to Aky’s often ditzy behaviour. He’s calm, thoughtful and earnest, taking the summon from Tharsis as opportunity to prove himself. His greatest disadvantage is that he often overestimates his abilities and takes too much onto his plate, especially when it comes to protecting those he holds dear, whether in battle or outside of it. When things got rough, he learned some basic healer’s knowledge from his sister, enabling him to heal his friends in dire moments, and even get them back onto their feet.

Ehaar (Landsknecht): The oldest member of the guild. He’s 31 and the polar opposite to Aky’s optimism when Aky and Tshabek meet him at the guild house for the first time. Having lost most of his former group and his right arm months prior, he has become gloomy and miserable, believing he’d never be of worth to anyone again, never again going on an adventure. Then Aky and Tshabek came along, and Ehaar found himself back exploring and adventuring, blossoming bit by bit. He’s polite and mild mannered, caring a lot for his friends, old and new. He possesses a special harness allowing him to wield two swords nonetheless.

Vei (Dancer/Nightseeker): Vei is a mystery. In a different way than Charlie. By her own statement she’s 20, and even figuring that out was a task. She rarely talks about herself, especially not about her common past with Charlie. Much later the others learn the reason: Both her and Charlie were wanted criminals in a far away land. When their group was killed by the authorities Vei and Charlie took what they could get and fled to greener pastures. Unlike Charlie, Vei took the longest to grow fond of their new found friends, accepting that she had now become an adventurer like she never before intended to be.

Charlie (Sniper/Nightseeker): Charlie’s actual name is Cerail, but, as Vei puts it, ‘Charlie’ is easier to yell. And people yell that name a lot. Charlie is 19 years in age, and probably 60 in terms of sarcasm. And yet, he rarely speaks at all. His ability to convey a snark through pure mimic rivals that of his skills with the bow. He’s rather silly and can be a bit annoying, taking a childish delight in teasing his new found friends. He shares a common past with Vei, as they both used to be in the same band of criminals. Vei owes him a lot, as without him they would have probably shared the fate of their former comrades. By now he has taken a special liking to Logre, and has started talking much more. Usually when those two team up to snark at the events going down around them.
