Gackt is a cocky and arrogant person, who lives in his own world. He was born into a religious family, and has three elder sisters. He moved to Tokyo as a teenager with one of his sisters, to get a scholarship. He met Kami in a karaoke bar. He does work as a bartender, although rumors say he works in a striptease club. He doesn’t like Mana one bit.

Lives: In a house with Mana and Yu~ki, in Tokyo
Personality: caring, fun loving, idiotic at times
Likes/Dislikes: His cats, red, eyeballs, cigarettes, tea, clowns/Mana’s attitude, hates every kind of drink, only tea not

Kozi is the clown of the group. He works as a part time cooker in a fast food restaurant and loves hanging out. He was born into a pretty normal family, atheist. He left school and went to Tokyo where he met Mana at the train station. They both met Yu~ki at a candy shop. Since then, they have been living with him.

Nickname: Kami, Kami-chan, Butterfly
Age: 19, in the begining of the story (1994)
Born: 1st February, Ibaragi
Lives: In an apartment with his best friend Gackt, in Tokyo
Personality: Loving, shy, friendly, furious and angry when insulted
Likes/Dislikes: Butterflies, his drums, his long, red hair, violet, sushi, tennis/cats, idiots, egoists, Gackts’ attitude (towards Mana)

Kami is a shy person, who was born into a traditional family. He left them when he became 17, after graduating. Then he went to Tokyo, where he met Gackt. They now live in an apartment, where they share the rent… He works in a shoe shop, with Mana.

Nickname: Mana
Age: 21 years old, in the beginning (1994)
Born: 19th March, Hiroshima
Lives: In a house with Kozi and Yu~ki, in Tokyo
Personality: Friendly, stubborn, non-talkative
Likes/Dislikes: Dresses, blue, hats, everything that has to do with France, /untidiness, Kozi’s jokes, lighter colors (pink, yellow…)

Mana also comes from a religious family, but in contrast to Gackt he led a hard life. He is the middle child of the Manabu family, and often experienced the wrath of his parents (and grandmother). He ran away from home when he was 16 and met Kozi at the Tokyo Train station. Because of his past, he is not that friendly at first but when he learns more about the person, he changes his attitude towards him/her. He hates Gackt, but only stays with him because of Kami. He works in the same shoe shop as Kami, that’s also where he met him.

Age: 22 years old, in the beginning (1994)
Born: 8th August, Fukuoka
Lives: In a house with Mana and Kozi, in Tokyo
Personality: caring, friendly
Likes/Dislikes: Glasses, yellow, leaves, poetry, chocolates/wrong attitude (like Gackts')

Yu~ki is the modest person of the group. He grew up in a farmers’ family in Fukuoka, and loves the land living. He went to Tokyo when he became 19 and began to work in a candy shop. That’s where he met Kozi and Mana and found a place to stay with them. He has some feelings for Kozi, which may not be true, as he is in a great dilemma. He met Gackt and Kami when Mana called them for dinner.
