Alexej originally comes from an upper-middle class/ upper-class background. But always had an eye on the rest of the world. In his life he was a sportive and quite sociable guy although he sometimes used to lose his temper too easily. He strongly felt the need to change something in the world and therefore apart from his talent starry-eyed favored a career as a journalist/writer. At this point he came in conflict with the wishes of his father who rather saw in his only son the heir who once would continue his work as a lawyer in his own office.
As his son secretly went his own way he met an alluring stranger. The girl apparently exotic and of a lower status fascinated him. They had a relationship for about a whole year. A relationship that additionally estranged him from his family. Well, and at the end of this year he was dead and left behind utterly confused and unknowing.

[Alec is a Vampire-Requiem character I originally wanted to roleplay. But as so often it never came to that. He is a Gangrel because -Masquerade wasn’t obtainable at the time we wanted to play and in –Requiem there are just 5 clans. So I tried to create me a most-Bruhja-like Gangrel and I am actually quite happy with the outcome.]

Saleel is “Vanity’s” Sire and her brother. He is the calming influence of the two and usually acts sober-minded where his sister acts flighty. But if something or someone stirs up his wrath he can be a hot-blooded and brutal opponent.
He usually appears grave while Roshanak rather seems to be adventurous. Another role of his is the protecting brother. Among others he chose vampirism over his death in order to be able to protect her.

Roshanak sometimes seems playful and to seek adventure. But in spite of her spirited behaviour she can also be a tough-minded opponent with an animalistic touch. Who like a cat of prey enjoys to play with her target in a more deadly way.
Vampirism is for Roshanak nothing to worry about. She grew up with it and from early childhood on knew nothing else but the wish to be one day as strong as the brother who protected her. Thus vampirism means to her strength and independence.

Alec never knew much about his Sire and the little he actually knows he believes to be naught but lies.
The truth is, that the restless wanderer, exiled from her covenant and country many years ago, took a certain liking in him on first look. A liking her own Sire and brother was unable to share. He believed Alec to be week and his strong personality just to be the conclusion of a life in which he got everything that he wanted. As one of the kindred he wouldn’t last a year. But his sister was in a rebellious mood and offered him a bet. If he gave her time and let her embrace Alec under her chosen circumstances she would proove him the strength that was within the guy. Four years he would survive on his own. Without her or Saleel interfering.
