He cannot understand why—he is indifferent, insensitive, stupid (not worth anyone’s fucking anything) (there are enough within the Living, within the Dead that will confirm this statement).
So when she does not stop smiling, does not stop shining like the sun—doesn’t stop loving him—he wants to hurt her.
It’s so easy to understand. Why must she be so damnable thick-headed?
